Hilo everyone.

Holy Spirit Guidance. Summary

Galatians 5:16. Abide audio essay/ devo.  

• Rules.  Prone to lean one way or another.
• Living by our sinful nature (even taking pride in our liberal understanding of grace)
• Or looking to the law or keeping the rules to earn the favor of God. 
• It’s like wearing ice skates on a balance beam. 
• Strict rules might curb our behavior for awhile but it won’t be long lasting. 
• Living as ever we please might feel good for awhile but won’t draw us closer to the character of Christ. 
• Maybe too loose or too legalistic. 
• Walking by the Spirit is: Focus on my relationship with God. 

Ask His forgiveness for the ways you’ve tried to make your life your own. 

Habit vs sinful nature which responds impulsively w/o regard for God.

Process of sanctification/ becoming more like Jesus is different from being a slave to the law. 

Ephesians 5:2.
