Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning and may the God of all grace bless you richly with health, wisdom and love this day and always!

We are gathering again this morning to focus on God at a time when uncertainty and strife still dominate our world. Greed, pride and the craving for power and dominance are still the undercurrents of our global society. The Word of God teaches us that things will not get better, in spite of hope upon hope from all of us, but especially for those of us bringing new babies into this world. It is hard to envision God’s grace in such an environment, especially when humility is a grace multiplier of sorts. Today we will continue our journey through GRACE as we praise and thank our Father for His abundant gifts and faithfulness. Welcome!

This Wednesday – August 12^th – Family Time & Bible Study

This Wednesday I invite those of you who are willing to come join us at the building from 6:00 PM for our Family Time dinner. Bring your takeout or brown bag and “social distancing” at the building we will share a meal together.

From 7:00 PM we will shift gears a little bit. In agreement with those who have been faithfully participated in our daily Bible Reading, on Wednesday, in an effort to involve the rest of the congregation, we will study the chapters that we’ve read during the week. Please read below for further information.

Birthdays this week: Nancy Schroeder (11^th)

Bible Reading - UPDATED

Beginning this week, our Bible Reading time is being reduced to 30 minutes from 1 hour and it will take place from 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM in an effort to give all of us a chance to finish dinner and obligations we may have. It is my hope that the shorter time and the later time will bring about more of you to this time of incredible blessing. In addition, as mentioned above, on Wednesdays, instead of having to focus on a different subject we will discuss the things we’ve read during the week, providing a further aid for those who are still not able to join us in the daily Bible Reading to catch up and be able to benefit as well.

VBS in a Box 2020

No matter where home is, what it looks like, who is inside, or what is happening outside of our door, Christians are encouraged to BUILD a Christian life within our HOME. 

So, with those thoughts in mind…welcome to your VBS in a Box 2020 theme: Building Up, Building Home.
