Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Here we are, at the beginning of a new month and truly, at the beginning of a new season as September marks the beginning of the turning of the leaves in Michigan. Allow me therefore to wish you a good month as I pray that God will bless us not only with beautiful Michigan fall colors but with a bountiful harvest both, physically and spiritually. May the height and depth and breadth of God’s love be more apparent and more relevant to us than ever before.

When we think of harvest we think of good fruit. The Bible speaks of us as God’s harvest so let us bear good fruit for God in everything we do so that His glory may be found in us. May our lives be the reflection of His goodness and kindness to the world and may the world come to understand His love in the love they feel from us.

This Wednesday – September 6th – Family Time & Daniel Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our bi-weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, We will continue our Bible Study on the Book of Daniel.

Birthdays this week: Dick Martin (5th); Marty Quigley (7th); Ada McCauley (9th);

Corn Roast – September 10th after the services

This year we will “ease” back into our traditional “after Labro Day Corn Roast” in a much smaller scale than we’ve been used to. This year we will have a potluck style lunch & corn roast on a smaller scale. There won’t be a party tent, petting zoo or rock climbing but instead we will have good food, some fun trivia games and weather permitting some “highland country games” competition for children. Please plant to attend.

World Bible School

I’ve been thinking about a way to engage as many of our number as possible in an evangelistic/missionary effort and I thought that World Bible School could offer us that opportunity. Check out https://worldbibleschool.org/ and please let me know if you would be willing to be involved.

Offering

This morning besides the offering plate, you can as always have the option to make your contribution online at https://troychurch.net/give

If neither one of these options are suitable, please send a check to Lisa Jones. Her address is in the directory. Thank you.
