Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

To me there is no better way to end a week and to begin a new week than to gather together with the Church. Sometimes it takes work to make it happen. Sometimes I am too tired and wish I could just stay in bed, but one thing I can say “with my hand on my heart,” as the saying goes. I’ve never regretted attending church. I have however regretted not attending the church gathering when I was not able to. I am grateful therefore that we are able to gather this morning and that you’ve chosen to be together to encourage one another in Christ. We worship a God who is the embodiment of all the things worthy of admiration, of all that is noble and pure, and truly worthy of pursuit. It is in fact, the pursuit of these things in our daily life that brings glory to God, and they work in unison with our songs and prayers to declare that there is no God like our God!

This Wednesday – August 2^nd – Family Time & Daniel Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our bi-weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, We will start a new Bible Study on the Book of Daniel.

Torchbearers VBS – August 7-11 – 9:30AM to 12:00PM

VBS is only a week away. Thank you Nadya for taking the leadership on this ministry for our precious children. Thank you as well to all of you who have volunteered to help with teaching classes, doing crafts, games and overseeing all the activities that I know will make this VBS a huge success. We’ve sent invitation cards to 687 families in the square mile around the church. Please pray for their participation as well as for all those involved. May Christ be glorified in us.

Sunday Fellowship & Games – After Services

I love seeing people hang out after the services every Sunday and having a mini potluck. Thank you for strengthening the body of Christ in this way. Games & Volleyball are always available as well.
