Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning and a blessed 3rd Advent Sunday to you and yours. This is a day of Advent for sure, but it is also a day of rejoicing, of JOY. Christmas is only one week away. ONE WEEK AWAY, can you believe that? I don’t know about you, but for me, with no snow on the ground and temperatures in the 50s it hardly seems real. And yet, IT IS! We don’t know when our true advent will be over. I wish we did. How joyful would your heart be today if you knew for certain that a week from now, a mere week from now,… 7 days… and Jesus will return? Would you contain yourself? Would you still gather or would you just find rest in God, in His Word, in prayer, as you prepare to welcome Him, to meet Him in the sky? Remember, 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.” – Matthew 24:37-39
