Minister’s Welcome

Good morning. I am glad to be with you at the gathering of God’s Family for our weekly Sunday corporate worship. I hope that you’ve had a great week of worship all along and that your days were marked with peace and love as you lived in the world the glory of our Father. If you are a new comer here, that’s tech talk for, I hope you’ve shown Christ in your life everyday by the way you loved the people around you. Today, we gather together to show our love for God through songs, prayers, the study of His word and, of course, through the love we have for one another. So,… open your heart and let it free; love and let yourself be loved. Push away any petty differences and revel in God’s grace for although none of us are worthy, we have been found worthy, and although none of us deserved it, Christ died for us, taking our punishment and setting us free. Freed for freedom nevertheless, so, do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. To Him be glory in Christ Jesus and through the Holy Spirit now, and ever!

This Wednesday – August 9^th – No Services - VBS

Although this Wednesday we won’t have any services due to VBS, instead of 6:00pm you should grab your take-out food and come eat it at the Church building at 5:30. It would be nice if we could gather together and fellowship a little before VBS starts..

VBS

VBS is taking place this week. Thank you in advance for your support. I pray that the children God brings will experience His love in the midst of this Church.

The dates for our VBS are August 7^th through 11^th and I hope you’ve made plans to be a part of it. We will be setting up today and tomorrow. Go out eat and return at 3:30pm to help set up. Check out - http://troychurch.net/vbs for more information on VBS or if you need to sign someone up.

Volleyball & Pickleball – 13^th August from 6:30PM

We are skipping a week but, please join us this evening for Volleyball and Pickleball while listening to Christian Music. If you don’t want to play either game just bring your lawn chair, sit in the shade, listen to Christian Music and amuse yourselves with our impressive skills.

One of the keys to the 1^st Century Churches strength was the time spent together so come on out and have a good time.

CELEBRATING WITH THE WARREN OJA FAMILY

Recently Warren and Elizabeth Oja welcomed the births of their identical twin daughters Iris and Heather. The Troy church family wishes to congratulate and celebrate with Warren and Elizabeth. Warren grew up in this church, and we look forward to continued fellowship with him and his family whenever possible.

We will send a church gift to them as a blessing and reminder of the love and fellowship we share. Anyone interested in participating in this gift, please see or contact Mary Alice Cowie or Nancy Schroeder. Thank you.
