Minister’s Corner

Good morning and blessings to you from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ!

This day is called traditionally Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of the Holy Week and it celebrates the Triumphal Entry of Jesus in Jerusalem. According to Zechariah 9:9, the King of Israel is prophesied to enter Jerusalem “on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey” and this is exactly how Jesus makes His entrance in the Holy

City. Messiah, the King of Israel enters Jerusalem fulfilling a prophecy made between 520 and 518 BC, so some five hundred and fifty years before these things actually took place. This shows with clarity that God had made it known since before that the Messiah will not come to overthrow Rome, that He will not be a King as the earthly kings but that He will be a King of Peace. The king of peace between us and God. As we worship today keep this perspective and thank God for His grace!

This Wednesday – April 8th – Bible Study from 7:00 PM

This Wednesday we will meet online again for a Bible Study hour and we will discuss the Rapture since it kind of goes along with our End of Times study for the previous two weeks.

I will send an email with log in details on Tuesday evening and a text reminder on Wednesday afternoon.

Elderly status check

Please continue to check on our elder members to make sure they are taking care of and are not in any need. As you do so please mark the file I set up on Google. Please email me if you do not have the link for it.

Bible Reading

I’ve made a decision based on some of the feedback I received, and we will have a daily Bible Reading type devotion from 7:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We will start by reading this week about the events of Jesus’ last week of earthly life from each one of the Gospels.?

COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis & the Christian Response

During this trying time, the entire neighborhood around us is on edge, finding itself on a roller coaster of emotions driven by the media machine as well as the human attraction to negativity. As Christians we are called to bring some much-needed warmth and light in this world through, or by, God’s love. One of the easiest ways to do this is by reaching out and bettering the day for those we still come in contact with. Yes, those in our families. By now we may have grown tired of the routine so why not doing something unexpected to make our loved ones feel special, loved and cared for. Breakfast in bed, kids you could do some extra chores to show your love, parents you could do something special for the kids, etc. As a family you all can do something nice as well. May be write some thank you notes of encouragement to your mail lady or mailman. Their job must be pretty stressful these days and finding in the mail box a nice note could go a long way in making their day better.  … May God keep you all in His care!
