Minister’s Corner

Good morning to you on this glorious first Sunday of May. “Καλό μήνα” (Kalo Mina)! A Good Month to you filled with God’s most cherished blessings!

This morning, as I am typing this message, the sun is shining beautifully, the birds are singing their prayers and the entire nature sings praises to God as it blooms back to life after the frost of winter. It is a good day to be alive and I thank God for His grace and mercy in allowing us to take breath today. I look forward to our gathering this morning, to the encouragement I receive from each of you that although there is plenty of ugly evil in the world there is indescribable good as well. I love you with the love of the Lord and I count myself fortunate to be among your numbers. Let’s show God this morning our hearts, our love and our desire that He may be praised. We have been brought from death to life and we are not to be discouraged by temporary discomforts or tribulations for we have a reward eternal waiting for us when God will call on each of us to go home, be that Hades, be that meeting Him on the clouds of Heaven as it has been prophesied. And indeed, we long for His deliverance and often times we pray with the old Aramaic phrase: Maranatha! (מרנאתא), Come, our Lord!

Thank you for joining us this morning! Thank you for adding one score to the right side as the battle rages on. And no, this is not a score to determine the victory. Jesus took care of that all on His own. This is a score to determine how many of us will walk the streets of heaven. I think of sin and evil as a cancer that unknowingly, quietly spreads through a host until it flares up to death. We live in a society where the spiritual cancer of the dark domain is spreading quietly and we must fight, we must take action and fight it with prayer, with love, with kindness, and with Truth. It is not an easy fight for although it is meant to create good, sometimes it creates discomfort, tribulation, and persecution in mind, in body and even in spirit. The Lord has warned us that in this world we will have trouble for if they hated LOVE itself, what chance do we stand to be recognized as sons and daughters of Light? Take heart though! The Lord shall come! And at His sight, every knee will bow, and every mouth and heart confess that He is indeed our LORD! Amen!

This Wednesday – May 6th – Bible Study from 7:00 PM

This Wednesday we will meet online again for a Bible Study hour and we will continue our study about when does the Bible say (or does it say?), when life begins.

I will send an email with log in details on Tuesday evening and a text reminder on Wednesday afternoon.
