Minister’s Corner

And here we are, the last worship Sunday of January… Didn’t we JUST welcome the New Year??? And some wonder if we’ll get bored of eternity… imagine feeling as best as you’ve ever felt physically times 100, imagine no time to bother you, imagine no limits in travel and wonder no more. It will be AWESOME!!!

Good morning and welcome to this last Sunday of worship in January. Thank you for your choice to be with us this morning. I pray that our good Lord will bless your presence here with peace, strength, love and a much deeper understanding of yourself and Him.

We are still talking about SEEKING Jesus and what does that really look like. Last Sunday we looked at the example of Zacchaeus who taught us by his persistence and determination that when you seek Jesus, He most likely, has already made plans for you. Today we will look at another character who did not let status, physical condition, societal perspective or anything else to interfere with the search for Jesus. The reward was absolutely life changing, just as it is for us when we decide to break all barriers and seek Jesus with all our heart.

This Wednesday – January 29^th – POTLUCK & another Chosen episode

This Wednesday is the time of the month when we celebrate our brothers and sisters born or married in January. Please come out on Wednesday and bring your favorite dish to share. As always, I will provide the cake & it would be great if one of you could bring the Gluten Free cake.

From 7:00 PM we will continue the viewing of Chosen, the new series on the life of our Lord. This episode is called Invitations and gives a little more creative introspect on the meeting between Jesus and Nicodemus.

As I mentioned before the new year, we received a card from Ashley and her two daughters. They were our guests for SOS last year and they wrote to share the good news that they are in a home now. Please take the time to send them a card. Their new address is (plz see attached .pdf file) – I am sure they would love to hear from us. It would be nice if we could put some money together and buy them a housewarming gift to remind them of our love as well.

January Town-Hall

After services this morning we will have a very brief Town Hall meeting. Only a couple of announcements and few things to think about during February.

Giveaway

I want to thank Jeremy and Shana for supporting this ministry for the past couple of years. Also, I want to thank all those who volunteered alongside them. Shana & Jeremy informed me that they are willing to host one last Giveaway this Spring. It will be on April 25^th so please start preparing your donations and also please put it on your calendar and plan on coming to help. If this ministry is to continue past April 25^th, we need someone to volunteer to lead it. Please let me know if you feel called to do so. If no one volunteers to lead the next Giveaway April 25^th will be our last Giveaway event. 

Church Questionnaire

11 in…34 to go…please get a copy from Lauren and bring it back completed next Sunday if you have not yet done so. I would like to hear from the other half of the Church as well. If you are not turning it in because you believe they are not the right questions OR that other questions should be asked, please make up the questions the way you think they should have been asked and turn them in.
