Minister’s Welcome

Good morning on this beautiful September morning. Thank you for deciding to be here this morning. I pray God, our Father, will bless you with peace, strength and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the fellowship of the Spirit as you spend this morning with those who seek after God’s heart.

For a few years now, Leslie & I have been members of INCH Inspirational Networking Conference for Homeschoolers). Yesterday I received a letter from the President informing me that the name from now on will be MICHN instead of INCH. The acronym stands for Michigan Christian Homeschool Network but MICHN is pronounced MISSION. He further explains, “Here’s why >>> We are all on a mission. Hopefully for most of us, it’s the same mission: Jesus’ Great Commission – to go and make disciples. As children of God, we should be all about responding in obedience to our Father’s command, working to complete His will on earth. He explained clearly His will: the making of disciples in all nations through teaching obedience to all of His commands, even as we ourselves walk in them.”

I was impressed with the MICHN’s clarity of mission and I wanted to share with you this morning as I pray for Troy Church and our mission. Thank you.

This Wednesday – September 26^th Potluck and Worship Celebration

Please come Wednesday at 6:00PM for our monthly POTLUCK in celebration of those with birthdays (Dick Martin, Ada McCauley, Ryeland Oja, Lauren Birdwell, Mary Clary, Chris Appolson, Angelo & Parker DeMaggio) and anniversaries (Bruce & Sherry Baker, Jon & Melissa Balun) in September. Your support of these, your family, is greatly appreciated. Please bring a dish to share & RSVP as much as possible.

Following our POTLUCK, we will have a singing worship celebration. Please share a song that is meaningful to you and your faith. If it is a you tube video, please let me know ahead of Wednesday.

Volleyball this evening – 6 PM

Last Sunday we had an awesome time playing volleyball and we want a repeat this afternoon. Please join us at 6:00PM for Christian Music, sweets & volleyball.

Baby Boy Appolson Potluck Shower

Please make plans to attend a baby shower for the Appolsons on Sunday, October 7^th. They are registered at Amazon and Buy Buy Baby. For more information please see Nadya.

Town Hall

Next Sunday, after services, we will have a short Town Hall. We will update you on the latest developments as well as plans for the near future and would like to hear any questions or concerns you may have. Ideally, please write these questions ahead of time and put them in the suggestion box so we are able to address them on Sunday.

Small Groups

I’ve already talked to several of you about small groups and we already have some who are matched. I will be calling and talking to the rest of you during the following weeks. Please keep praying about this important step in our church’s development. I will talk more about this next Sunday during the Town Hall.

Next Upcoming Event: Halloween @ Troy – October 31^st

– as last year, we will organize several “minute to win it” games and would love to have you over. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet neighbors and to have some fun playing together some really fun games.
