Minister’s Welcome

Good morning and thank you for being a part of our gathering this morning. I thank God for the beautiful day and for your presence here. I pray that your time in worship with the church will encourage and bless you. I pray that you will feel loved, cherished and that you will also take the time to bless those you meet with your love and encouragement.

Today we will talk about the concept of being dead to the law in order to be alive for God. This is the subject of a multi-millennial struggle for the people of faith and I pray that this morning you will feel truly liberated. I pray that God, in His love will surround us all as we are gathered this morning and that our minds and hearts will be renewed and set to dancing by His Spirit.

One of my favorite times with my two-year-old son, Atticus, is the morning, immediately after he wakes up. He is so full of joy and life, excited to start a new day and as I look on his face my heart always fills to bursting with love. God’s heart does the same for us today!

This Wednesday – October 4^th – Family Time and Peak of the Week

I look forward to seeing you this Wednesday for our Family Time as we get together at 6:00PM to enjoy one another’s company and take supper together. Please bring your favorite take-out and we’ll eat together while talking about life and enjoy some precious family time.

From 7:00PM to 8:00PM we will have our Peak of the Week. The disciples of Jesus were constantly together in prayer and the word and I invite you to come be with us as we are taking a journey through Psalms. Please read Psalm 4 in preparation for this hour.

Corinthian Gathering – TODAY – 5:00PM

Please come out and join us this evening for Corinthian Gathering. The main topic of today’s gathering will be forgiveness.

Philip and Yanjing Oja

Our church family has an opportunity to honor and celebrate the marriage of Philip and Yanjing Oja. We know how helpful showers can be to couples as they settle into their marriages and first homes together. Since Philip and Yanjing are not here for a shower, a monetary gift will be sent to them to be used as they choose. In doing this, Philip’s home church can show our love to him and his wife. Please contact Mary Alice Cowie or Nancy Schroeder as soon as possible if you wish to help with this.

Bible Break – October 10^th @ 9:30

On Tuesday, October 10th at 9:30 a.m. the fall session of BIBLE BREAK will begin. For the first few weeks we will continue the study of Priscilla Shirer’s book FERVANT which we began this summer. Then we will begin her study on THE ARMOR OF GOD. All ladies are welcome and encouraged to share in this time of Bible study and fellowship. This ministry continues to bless those who are able to attend. Please let neighbors, friends and family know about this class. For questions see Mary Clary, Bobbie Westerby or Nancy Schroeder.

NEW TIME for volleyball, pickleball and Christian music – 6:00PM

Due to the rapidly shortening duration of the day our Sunday evening volleyball has been moved to 6:00PM – also new; bonfire afterwards, bring smores materials if you want to indulge.
