Minister’s Corner

Good morning and “Καλό μήνα” (Kalo Mina), A Good Month to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. March is here and that means Spring is just around the corner. This is the month we give up the extra hour we gained in the fall to hibernate on. Nature is coming back to life and is only appropriate as this is the Lent Season month when we prepare ourselves for the Easter memorial and celebration. Celebration of life, of life’s triumph over death, of our Lord defeated and destroying the eternal curse of death through sin. This month  as we continue to SEEK Jesus we also prepare our hearts to meet Him in the Easter celebration which will kick off our KNOW Him quest.

Thank you for being here this morning, for taking the time out of your day to bless and encourage one another as we gather around the Communion table to honor our Lord’s command to so do in His memory. Let’s praise Him together in song, in prayer and in and through the Word!

This Wednesday – March 4^th – Family Time & Small Group - Prayer

This Wednesday, from 6:00 PM we will get together for our Family Dinner time. Bring your takeout and join us for an hour of fellowship and family time.

From 7:00 PM as it is the first Wednesday of the month, we will spend some time talking about prayer and then practicing this spiritual discipline just as the 1^st century church used to do.

The Giveaway date of March 28^th is quickly approaching. Please spread the word and also prepare your donations. If you can help set-up and take down please let Shana Parent know.

Springing Forward

Next Sunday our clocks are moving forward, and we will lose an hour. Please plan ahead so you will be here for Pat’s class on Jesus at 10 AM

Bridal Shower

Ladies from the Troy church family along with other family and friends of Jessica Van Horn are invited to a bridal shower in her honor. The shower will be here in our fellowship hall on Saturday, March 14th at 11:30. Luncheon will be served.

Jessica is the daughter of Jan Haefner. She grew up in the Troy church and is loved by current and former Troy members. We are always happy to see her when she returns for a visit.

Please join us as we celebrate with Jessica her upcoming marriage to Chris Fisher. Please RSVP to Nancy Schroeder (248  652-3676) by March 8th.
