Minister’s Corner

Good morning to you and may God’s peace and grace be upon you.

I am excited to be able to worship with you again this morning on this beautiful July Sunday. In the stressful times we live in, being able to forget about everything and focus on the source of our faith and hope, for indeed we are not people without hope. Although faith is under attack, we are not in the least surprised for we were told since long ago, by our Savior, that those inconvenienced by the truth will hate us because of it. Our lives are a continuous reminder of things they want to ignore in order to live lives motivated not by God’s righteousness but by personal pleasure and comfort. We take heart in God’s promise to always be with us, to always provide the Holy Spirit to work in us and through us and thus, this morning we give Him honor for it. Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם

From 7:00 PM we will continue our study of the commands in the New Testament. Please read 2 Corinthians 13 in preparation. We will have this study in person and also via Zoom for those who will be joining us from home.

Bible Reading

We will continue the practice if Bible reading together Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. This week we will begin reading Revelation. Thank you for continuing this journey through the New Testament with me and I pray it blesses you all as much as it has been blessing me.

Services at the church building - Update

Thank you to all of you continuing to join us on Zoom and thank you Pat Oja for working tirelessly to make their experience better. We appreciate so much having you with us! For those of you joining us in person please continue to observe as best you can all the guidelines of health safety as we continue to worship in the building. We are each responsible for our own health and called to protect those around us as well. As you may know, due to a rise in Covid-19 cases, the Governor has passed new emergency laws. Law 2020-147 requires individuals older than 5 to wear a mask in indoor public places and states that “A willful violation of the order is a misdemeanor subject to a $500 criminal penalty, but no term of confinement may be imposed on individuals who violate the mask requirement. No individual is subject to penalty under the order for removing a mask while engaging in religious worship at a house of religious worship, although consistent with guidance from the CDC, congregants are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings during religious services.” Thank you.

Offering

Don’t forget, for your convenience and safety you can still make your offering on line at http://www.troychurch.net/give

We will not pass an offering tray/plate around. If you want to make your offering via cash or check please place it in the offering tray/plate as you exit the auditorium. Thank you.
